NINTENDO demos new SONIC THE HEDGEHOG DS game @ E3

As part of their display showcasing the new Dual Screen portable system at E3, Nintendo has featured a demo of the new SONIC THE HEDGEHOG DS game from SEGA!

I'm not so sure it is a new game. It just sounds like a tech demo from what I've read.

Edit: Although I've just noticed that Sega have announced A Sonic game for the DS. I do think it will be of a different form to the DS demo though.

A few of the ghames from the tech demo have been announced as games in development. I personally can not wait for it to come out.

Don't forget to the other games they announced for the next-gen handhelds. There was Puyo Fever and a mysterious Project S (Sonic maybe? Shinobi?) announced for PSP. There was also a Project Rub announced for DS, which as a rather sill name at the moment, and will probably involve the touch screen in some key way.

Right now, I'm leaning more towards the DS than the PSP. The deciding factors are the backwards compatibility, the longer (estimated) battery life, and a significantly lower (estimated) price. And now they have Sonic.

nice to see the game they demo in the link is mario kart for the cube...ha.
