Just recently, Sega has circulated a press release stating that Phantasy Star Universe will in fact be coming stateside and to Europe around Spring 2006. The press release then goes on to provide a general overview of the game, along with several new screenshots.

Hmm, I hope they improve the graphics -- I'm sure they will, but it looks worse than PSO in those screenshots. It's great to know that there will be a traditional offline mode, but I'm worried about the direction of the game, especially since it will be online as well. The character designs also just don't have that 'PS look' to me.
I have to agree, those screens look pretty crappy.
