Creating top line gun shooting titles has been a Sega specialty for decades with an enviable back catalogue including LET’S GO JUNGLE, GHOST SQUAD, and HOUSE OF THE DEAD. Sega are now about to unleash another blockbuster title upon the industry in the form of RAMBO, which will preview on the European trade show circuit in both the Standard and Deluxe cabinet versions. RAMBO is ready for players to be the ultimate warrior!

Being manufactured in two cabinet sizes it is designed to fit any type of location. With a DLP monitor on the deluxe and LCD on the standard, the game splices Sega’s computer graphics and real movie pictures for added realism, plus sound will give the player the cinematic feeling while playing. The realistic look and feel of the machine gun along with the recoil action is bound to give the player a true action experience!

The game offers variety, with many types of enemies and special weapons that will cause the most damage, plus a “Rage Meter”; the player can unleash maximum power with a special button the gun once the meter reaches “Rage Mode” giving quick defeat of the enemies. The attack gauge above the enemies also makes the player aware of the enemy’s attack, allowing the player to decide which enemy to defeat first.

This exhilarating shooting game follows the history of Rambo as seen on the big screen. Starting with FIRST BLOOD, Rambo, as a great soldier, fights the police and National Guard, continuing on into RAMBO where he rescues POW’s, the storyline concludes with RAMBO 3 with Rambo rescuing his abducted friend and former commander.

Sega’s Justin Burke offered an insight into the game in that “the clever aspect of this new title is the integration of the game play and clips from the real movies; it really does offer something new to playing an arcade game. It is instantly recognisable as soon as you see it on location. Our recent income testing has shown that, as it has constantly proved to be number one video on those locations”.
