The following table lists issues, and other items of note, that I experienced during my testing.
Note: It is possible I have attributed the issues to the wrong item, due to lack of different hardware for comparison, e.g. low sensitivity in
Wacky Worlds might not be caused by the game, but my mouse/Mega Drive instead.
Game | Shuttle Mouse | Mega Everdrive X7 | Game properties |
Body Count | Works | In-Game Menu Issue* | Can choose pad or mouse for single player, no matter which port is used, can use pad or mouse for either player in 2P mode, depending on what is plugged in to each port |
Cannon Fodder | Works | In-Game Menu Issue*
Dominus (Prototype) | Works | In-Game Menu Issue*
Fun 'n Games / Fun 'n' Games | Works | Works | Must use pad in Port 1 and mouse in Port 2 |
Janou Touryuumon | Works | In-Game Menu Issue*
Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker | Works | Works | port number corresponds to player number (you must plug mouse in to port 1 to play a single player game with the mouse) |
Lemmings 2: The Tribes | Vertical stutters^ | Works | Note: Tested with an official PAL cart as well - same issue (Vertical stuttering) |
Lord Monarch: Tokoton Sentou Densetsu | Works | Works | Uses awkward tile sized cursor over map |
Marble Madness | Works | In-Game Menu Issue* | Designed for trackball mode, increasing trackball sensitivity makes it more playable in mouse mode |
Nobunaga no Yabou Zenkokuban / Nobunaga's Ambition | Works | In-Game Menu Issue*
Nobunaga no Yabou: Haouden | Works | In-Game Menu Issue*
Richard Scarry's Busytown | Vertical stutters^ | In-Game Menu Issue* | Must use pad/mouse in Port 1 |
Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye | Vertical stutters^ | In-Game Menu Issue* | Must use pad/mouse in Port 1 |
Two Tribes - Populous II | Works | In-Game Menu Issue* | Designed for trackball mode, vertical is inverted – to use mouse mode: Click globe -> Set option: Mouse X+Y- (click twice)
Mouse movement is a bit "laggy" - maybe the game runs at a low frame rate? |
Wacky Worlds | Works | Works | Low sensitivity |
* Having a mouse in Port 1 triggers the Mega Everdrive X7's In-Game Menu (workaround: Disable IGM or plug mouse in to Port 2)
^ The few games where I list "Vertical stutters" have jerky vertical mouse movement, horizontal movement is smooth (I have guessed the mouse is the issue)

If I ever get any other hardware to test, I'll post the results.
If any one else has other hardware configurations, it would be great to compare and make this data more comprehensive/refined.
You can look at the attached spreadsheet for an editable copy of the above results, as well as my results from running tests 1-10 from gasega68k's development of Wolf3D:
