Its amazing online. all you need is gamespy arcade, gamespy tunnel, rj45 cable and a hub connected to your internet.

Gamespy is the only way to play until xbox live becomes available.

actually there's other online services to play halo, but most of them have barely any users at all.

There are usually not many users, but the best of the non gamespy is XBConnect. There are usually about 100-150 people on in the chat, which means that is the number of people not playing a game I believe.
