Bgb.
what about smygb (kinda 1998/99) that was a great GBC emu!
i still have it and would be willing to email it to anyone that wants to try it! [/b][/quote]
I used "No$Gmb" for all of my monochrome gameboy needs on an old 486. I think it even runs on a 386. A "pay" version is out that emulates color gameboy pretty well. I remember playing both GBC Zelda Oracles on it perfectly, and on a 486!
It was at one time my favorite emulator until I found out that the programmer is a complete ASS! Though I admire his work because he still codes on a 486 and actually optimizes his code. He has made a GBA emulator but charges $1000 for it. I wish I could try that one day.
Also for older computers "Nesticle" is the best NES emulator. It also plays well on 486s and plays lots of games. . . but if you have a faster computer you'll benefit more from a more modern emulator.
I have played and completed Mario64 on a Cyrix PR266 233Mhz with a Voodoo2 at full speed using an emulator by the name of "Corn." Though I believe Corn was only really compatible with Mario64.
. . .Cart based?? Well "StellaX" for Atari is also pretty darn good.
😛
. . I would say "Gens" for Genesis/CD/32X but that's been said enough
😉
and "ZSNES" for SNES, it also has an active development, forum, and often releases updates.
