Chapter 4.
Tylor is a space pirate. Tyler was the name of a space pirate in Phantasy Star II. The ship he commands is the Landeel, which is the ship that you find in Phantasy Star IV while visiting his tomb in the town of Tyler.
In Phantasy Star II, Tyler saves Rolf and his party from their imprisonment on the satelite Gaia. Due to Dark Force's corruption of the Earthmen (Who in turn created Mother Brain), Rolf and company are to be executed due to damaging Mother Brain. They're to be executed by running the Gaia satelite into Palma. Tyler saves them, but is unable to stop Gaia from going into Palma, and destroying the planet (Therefore weakening the seal enough for Profound Darkness to break through in Phantasy Star IV).
Phantasy Star IV, you go to Dezoris, and go to a town named "Tyler". It was named after him for helping the Palmans escape before Palma's destruction. Upon visiting his tomb, you find the Landale space ship. Named after Phantasy Star heroine Alis Landale (Alisa Landeel in the Japanese version of Phantasy Star).
I'm anxious awaiting more references to the older games. 🙂
