Could burning mp3's for games cause problems?

If my program(Nero) accepts mp3's, will the games work as well? Is it more assured to use Wav's? I got one game to work with MP3's, and some havent. But i dont know if it's the ISO or the sound files. If a game didnt work with mp3's, should i try it with wav's?

The only difference that decoding on the fly should make is that you could get buffer under runs if your computer isn't fast enough to handle it.

I've never used the feature for that very reason.
