Do I need a Saturn memory card?

I have a saturn and I'm starting to play it again. My question is do I need a memory card to save my games, such as Panzer Dragoon Saga? If so am I scrwed because I don't have one.

the saturn has internal saveram, but you'll have to delete files or buy a cart sooner or later, since it's not that big.

its must have if you have a saturn

just....imagine....have NiGHTS....have dragon force.....what you can do if you have those games......(just nights need like 250 blocks)

i'll suggest you to buy a memory cartridge

If you can, only get an official mem card. AFAIK, it's the only one that allows direct saving to it in game. Other 3rd party models only allows copying via the memory manager.

Another pain in the butt is that you lose your saves (from the Saturn's internal RAM) and system settings (e.g., date, time, language) when the Saturn's lithium battery dies. So it's best to save to an official memory cart.

They actually did have a 3rd party mem cart that you could save directly too. It has been a while since I stocked them but havent seen them for sale since 🙁

They were dirt cheap too!
