DragonHeart ain't THAT bad !

Yep, it's not that bad. Ok gameplay is HORRIBLE : the hero runs and jumps like an old man, ennemies are really dumb and easy... BUT :

- Graphics and bosses are really gorgeous (and sometimes gore) and vary a lot. Music is also very epic and fits perfectly with the game style.

- As I said it's easy, and sometimes it's nice to play an easy game 🙂

- It combines both password and cartrdige saves, which is rare and comfortable.

- With the saving possibility, you don't need to restart the same levels again and again (which is quite rare for an action game)

- There are some hidden passages, but easy to find, and quite often two ways to finish a level : the "hard-but-bonus-rewarding" way and the "easier-but-less-rewarding" way, also called "easier-but-soon-harder-when-you-meet-the-bosses" way 😛

And when you finish the "Quest", there's a tournament in your honor, you have to fight once every human foe you encountered, and in the end you fight an big alien boss in a futuristic background which is quite a funny end. 🙂

I have to admit that you have to overcome the sh*tty gameplay every second to enjoy this game. I did and I enjoyed it 🙂

Well, I never found any FAQ or guide about this game, only 2-3 short reviews on gamefaqs. And when I did a search on "DragonHeart" on SX msg boards, the only thread I got was "shittiest game award" :lol:

take street fighter the movie the game, make it side scrolling, add swords, set it in a medievel setting, and make it less fun (is that possible?), and you'd be pretty close to dragonheart.

Last Time I spoke about Dragon Heart you already came up and said this game was crap. What's the point of telling something everybody knows already ? 🙄

@ VBT : you mean pics of the last alien boss ? Well, since you can't save after the last level and before the final tournament, this would mean I have to do the last level again + the whole tournament once more... I made it once, but I don't know if I'll manage to do it again... I'm not THAT masochist ! 🙂
