What do you think of this legendary Saturn FPS? One of the best FPS out for the Saturn bar none!

Lobotomy software made this one. They are the same geniouses responsible for porting Duke Nukem 3D and Quake to the Saturn.

Kinda reminds me a little of Serious Sam with the Egyptian theme.

Side note, the game was called "PowerSlave" in the US.

Lobotomy really did a great job on the Saturn, too bad that's almost the only thing they've ever done (and we'll just quietly forget about Caesar's Palace 64...)

Exhumed was a great game, with a great soundtrack, but the programmers dolls you could collect for a bonus were a bitch. I've tried to get the one from the lasermaze but it is downright impossible. :(

Anyone else think that the gameplay is very similar to Metriod Prime. Like that game it has lot more adventuring then most FPS's and has a power up system that lets you reach new areas in places youve already explored.

Retro Studios arent in any way related to Lobotomy are they?

Look into it, there just might be a person or 2 now working at retro. I am sure a simple e-mail to them would suffice.

*edit* "Ice and Mal are my heroes.....if I could be anyone I would be them. I wish I could be as cool as them and get all those chicks (specially the aussies)."

.......did I get brownie points? :cheers

Would like to share my experience with you pll about this game. I first

knew about this game from my friend who recommended I rented this game

because it's a "saturn game of the month" according to his local gaming

magazine. Rented it for 3 days and it's the most entertaining yet

horiffic experience for me. "Entertaining" because of those artifacts

and weapons and bosses' design(wish there were more bosses in the game).

"Horriffic" because I'm allergic to 1st person shooters.. I get motion

sickness after playing for about 20 mintues. I also threw up playing

this game.. never happened before, didn't manage to finish the game in

3 days.(got to the area where you need to levitate through laser beams)

A few months later I decided to rerent this game for 1 day. Have to

start playing from the beginning because I deleted the saved file. I

started playing on Saturday morning(school break) and finished playing

on Sunday afternoon. Can't quite remember if I got the good

ending(transmitters) or not...

Last month(december), I bought a used copy of this game from an auction

site for JUST 1.50 DOLLARS(excluding shipping)!!. I received the game

just a few days ago. Damn I'm happy to own this game.

btw does anyone here own the PS1 version of Exhumed? Is it the same game as the saturn version? I once own the PC version and the game's level is completely different than the Saturn... and alot more difficult..

I didn't like the PC version at all, it's uses DOS and it's extremely pixelatted!

I played a demo of the PS version and didnt like it as much. They replaced the spiders with worse looking scorpions, also textures on the walls seemed to warp all over the place when you got near them.
