GBA Card Expenser!

AM3 has announced it will be manufacturing the Advance Gachapon machine in Japan. Peopel will be able to plug in a 32mb flash card and download whatever movie they want to play on the GBA for a fee. Only popular Japanese cartoon series are available at the moment.

Availability will be in October of this year but only in Japan. No news of a US or Europe release.

Thanks to Spong for the news. What will those crazy Japanese think of next?

OK my post disappeard but here it is again.
Won't 32MB be kinda small for a decent quaility movie?
I mean I have never seen 1 in action is the pic quaility is it comparable to say VCD or somet????

If you have ever watched a video on a pocket pc the resolution doesnt have to be that big and the sound only mono.

It's no problem to fit a cartoon on there that will look ok.

I was wondering if they would have something like this.
Because those episodes-on-a-cart thing they have previewed before didn't seem like a good deal. You'd shell out some good cash for a 3-episode cart, but once you've watched it once or twice you aren't gonna want the cart anymore.

Will be nice to be able to re-use carts

I think it would be cool if they made some device to write your own video carts. I would love to have some G.I. Joe and Transformers episodes. Or hell, Cowboy Bebop would really rule.
