Hey guys, since I'm getting a PoS2 in a few days, I wanna get it modded after a few months. Where can I send it to get modded? PlayTheGames is gone. KYA is gone (he was the best). Hm....

Well I dunno about you but usually any computer repair store will mod it for you if you supply them with the ps2, the chip and good instructions on how to do it. Look around, they will probably charge around 75 bucks but it's worth it to play sweet sweet hentai imports

If you think its a piece of shit? then why get it?

It mightn't be all that difficult (although some PS2 modchips have an absurd amount of points to solder), but it's an expensive thing to fuck up.. Not like messing up a Saturn mod where it won't break the bank to get a new machine.

No I have done it and I will never do it again.. Took 9 hours to install my Messiah 2 Pro.. and it was a pain X_X

Well worth it though

Just get one of the wireless chips with the boot loader discs.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to really screw up your ps2... And they are no where near as good in performance compared to a real soldered modchip.

I would recommend "internationalgamingworld.com". I purchased a premod there. Turn around time may not be fast (2-3 weeks) but good price and overall good service.

the cheapest ive seen was 100$ and the average was 120$ -- for installation

i used to think it was a big ripp off -- untill i modded 2 myself --( i used a dms3 mod) the first one i did was a version 4 and it took me 6 hours to do that fucker and then i did a version 7 which took me 3 hours (this was including alot of continutity testing and chip checking looking under a magnifier making sure there were no micro-shorts) --- when i was doing the version 4 i was thinking 100$ was a great deal --- if you get a version 4 get someone to do it -- if you got a version 7 id say its easy enough to take a shot at it your self theres realy only 4 dangerous solder points with that one --- also look around for multiple instructions some have better pics and alternative solder points

but if your convinced you want to get someone else to mod the system your gonna buy why not buy an already modded system

At International Gaming World, I was looking and it says: Magic 3.1 Installed ($75), and Installation Only ($60). What do they mean by that? I'm confused. They mean the same thing to me.

meaning 75 for just the chip and 60 for the install!!!

That's nuts if that's what you mean... I wouldn't bother with a Magic 3.1 either..

Messiah 2 or DMS 3 is the way to go.

I'm pretty sure that "Magic 3.1 Installed" means that it includes the chip and installation. Charging $75 for a Magic chip would be ridiculous.
