Recommendations for CD brands and burners to make Saturn backups?

For a while now, I've been making backups of many games with pretty low-quality CD-Rs and burners, and now I think that may have caught up to me...

Now I'm not sure if this is a myth, but from what I've heard, making backups of games with lower-quality CD-Rs and burning at high speeds can cause some pretty big issues. And as of recent, I seem to be getting more of those issues. Like FMVs not playing or severely stuttering, games failing to boot many more times than they work, and sometimes issues with audio. At this point, those are all regular occurrences for me.

I'm starting to wonder if all this stress from the poorly made CD-Rs has worn out my laser significantly. Because now I seem to be having issues with official discs. Again, things like FMV stuttering and games failing to boot. Right now, I'm chalking the issue up to the CD-Rs and laser, but I also wonder if perhaps my Pseudo Kai cart has something to do with the issue. It was again a very cheap one I found online, and has really always seemed to cause me some issues, but now more than ever. But that's besides the point, I guess.

Right now, I'm just wondering if any of you guys have recommendations for CD-Rs or burners you use for your backups? And also how well they have worked for you.

If so, I would really appreciate it if you gave the brand names and where you found them. At this point, I really just wanna find something high quality I know will work.

Thanks!
