Here are some new images of Sega's new arcade lightgun shooter The House of the Dead 4, this time the game will run on a new board. Unconfirmed speculations said the game runs on a new Xbox 360 arcade system.

Im not particularly impressed, considering that current and soon to be released PC games are in many cases looking this good or better. If this is using 'next-generation' hardware then Sega either doesn't know how to use it properly or its far too weak to hold durring this coming generation.

I agree, here are some bigger pics that show just how bad this game looks. (That's not to say it won't still be a fun game though)

Bad? I don't think it looks bad by any stretch. There is some nice texture work in there - check out the dude's jacket and the water reflection on the fifth pic, and the gauze on the last pic. The models look a bit low-poly, and surely the game could use better antialiasing, but the lighting effects and textures are certainly nice. I bet this game looks great in motion.

I'd love to see this show up at a local arcade, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. I agree that the screens don't look 'next gen' but when a slew of zombies are coming at you I doubt you'll be too worried about that. I like the widescreen display, but I prefer pistols or shotguns to SMGs in arcade shooters.

According to System16 it is not based on the Xbox360, but rather a new piece of hardware that looks to be the replacement for the Naomi 2 and Chihiro.
