How to burn Last Bronx?

OK, I give up. This game has 2 data tracks and I've followed all posted instructions on burning games with 2 data tracks but Last Bronx absolutely refuses to work for me. (I can burn other dual data track games just fine).

The image I download was from Edge's FTP site and I even burned it using the included .CUE but the farthers I can get with this game is to the loading screen that say "Last Bronx. Loading..." then it just hangs.

What am I missing?

Can you post the cuesheet for us, as well as the names of the files you have to go with it?

I've encountered this problem before, try slowing down your burning speed to one that did it for me, try also to look for a different site to download it from.

You can thank the idiot who ripped a dual-data-track game as iso/iso/wav rather than bin/cue to begin with... unless you know what you're doing, it messes up the lengths of the data tracks and the gaps between them (on the burned copy).

Which explains the failure of your burn: Files within the ISO filesystem in track 1 actually refer to block numbers that are within track 2. Seeing as that track 2 in your case is almost definitely offset, the files are misread and end up corrupted.

Alas, I cannot offer a solution without seeing your game and its tracks... so, yeah, let's have a look at the cuesheet.

If you still have the problem you wrote about, try changing the pregap of the second track to 00:03:00. This is probably the only problem the cue sheet has.

Please tell us if it worked for you.

I downloaded the files off of Edge's FTP site. Here is the CUE sheet. Changing the pregap to 00:03:00 for track 2 did not work by the way. Thanks everyone.

Changing the pregap did not work? You're not using an older version of Nero, right? I know the data tracks are laid out to have a 3 second gap between them, so any attempt to burn them with 2 seconds will probably fail. Any burning software that ignores this will produce coasters all the time.

Please tell me what CD recording software you have available and the version numbers of that software. This might just be the problem. I hope you don't want to forget about this game now, because it's really nice (to any fan of fighting games).

Maybe try converting the second data track to Mode 2/2336 using CDmage.

When I burnt Snatcher (for Saturn) a while back from dual iso/wav that worked for me. A 3 second pre gap is needed as well.

How exactly do you convert it with CDmage? It won't let me open the iso at all, I tried opening it with all 3 different mode/sector types. I'm trying to burn Thunderforce Gold pack 2 btw, I tried editing the cue sheet as described in the sticky topic but it didn't work. This is the original cue sheet that came with it:

Nevermind, I got it to work. I think the problem was the mp3's, they were mp3 pro and it seems my regular converting program couldn't properly convert them because after I used Nero instead to convert the game burned flawlessly.

Ok, I also downloaded Last Bronx from Edge's FTP and I have problems with it as well. I made this cue sheet:

But when I try to use it I get an error. I tested the iso's in CDmage, and the 2nd iso gives me an error when trying to open it as Mode2 2352. So I figure that is the problem. Anyway, now I want to try converting to mode 2 2336 like Mal suggested, but I don't know how. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks.

You're sure it's not already a Mode2/2336?

The trick I use in cases such as this is whip up a calculator and see if a given track file's byte size divides by either 2048, 2336 or 2352. That way I know whether it's cooked/raw and whether it's a Mode1 or Mode2 (in case it's cooked).

Track's bytesize is 87637872.

87637872 divided by 2048 = 42791.929

87637872 divided by 2336 = 37516.212

87637872 divided by 2352 = 37261

So, what does this tell me? that 2352 is the correct block size?

Sorry to 'bump' this up again, but is it possible to burn this game in any way, or should I go look for a different iso?

2352 seems to be the correct sector size for your images second track.

It's very likely the game is ok, but the burning method isn't. I just dug up the game myself and will have a look at it, so please wait a little longer.
