Is Sonic 3D better on Saturn

I've bet you played a tiger-like game thing. They were like where you had a dpad and 1 or 2 buttons and there characters didnt actually move but the background was just a picture (not a digital image just like a piece of paper with drawings on it) and the characters were likke game n watch type things.

Oh, you mean these ones....no, game.com has dot-matrix screen (touch-sensitive too), but with the lowest refresh-rate that I've ever seen 🙂

You can save on the PC version.

As for the low framerates... THERE IS A FIX!

When you are in level, hold down M, and press Escape. This brings you to a hidden menu. On here you can enable Motion Smoothing. Why this wasn't on be default I don't know. Anyway that makes it smooth. If the colours mess up, just go to restart game on the same menu.

The Saturn version is still superior however. Did you see the PC version lacks all the transparent fogging and Rain effects on Rusty Ruin for example? Ripping out the fogging really ruined it for me, I thought it was really nice and created a nice atmosphere. If only the Saturn version let you save...

Those special levels in Sonic 3D are extremely fun and look fantastic. I dare to say that its some of the nicest gfx ever in a sub level. And compared to other Sat games it looks fantastic.

Considering they were developed by Sonic Team, it's not suprising that it's impressive 🙂

The PC one had these ripped out though in favour of some abysmally awful imitation. The rings were all in straight lines too, in 30 or so Ring groups, defeating the object.
