Making Saturn Games

Does anyone here have or use Game Basic or Dezaemon 2 for the Saturn.

I want some information on how programs are saved. I actually turned down buying a Saturn brand Zip drive! I wonder if this was necessary for either title.

Anyone make a good game? How long did development take?

I cant say for shure how they save the stuff, but i know that Saturn basic is connectable to the pc. As for Dezaemon, you can create some really cool shooters quite easy. You can try out the rom for Dezaemon 1 for Nes if you wonder how it works. In Saturn basic you can create quite cool games. Not as complex as commercial games, but i have seen some good ones for download here and there, so it should be possible to do something cool there to.

So gamebasic games require the game basic cd? Is it like Techno Motor (my favorite saturn app)?

It would be cool if one could just burn a game straight to disc from the gamebasic software... ha ha

hey jeff-20... I'm pretty sure you need the Sega backup cartridge to even save games created with Dezaemon 2, they're (obviously) too large for the internal RAM... that said, I would like to know how one can download games and put them on the Saturn... Also, what can you tell me about Techno Motor? I have it and I'm VERY interested in creating music with it but a beginner's guide would be neat.

I've been making music with computers pretty much forever, and the Saturn does have an awesome synthesizer...

What makes Techno Motor so great is the unusual sound of the Saturn. People will be wondering what you used... It is pretty much a full feature MIDI editor with some great visual effects for song play back...

I couldn't tell from your post if you already have one or not. I can explain it fully if you do not.

The best part is the cartoon live band that plays (on time!) to your songs... and of course, the Chara song TIme Machine which is one of my favorite songs now.
