I just got a used Saturn. I changed the internal battery to a new one but everytime I boot up the machine it goes to the languagae/date/time screen and naturally can't save games. I've tried 2 different new batteries but no luck. Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas?
The only contacts I see clearly are a metal prong that touches the bottom (negative) side of the battery. I've tried rubbing alcohol and just bending the prongs up to touch the battery more but it doesn't make a difference. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm thinking the saturn is busted...
i don't see something else to do (maybe someone else has an idea ?), about saving you can use a backup cartridge but you'll still go to the bios screen each time you turn it on.
You certain you have the right type of battery as well? There are multiple batteries that look exactly the same in the store, but aren't -- make sure the numbers are right.
