Ninja Warriors Sega CD and SNES differences?

Are there any major differences between "The Ninja Warriors" (Japanese-only Mega-CD game) and "Ninja Warriors Again" (SNES)?

Obviously the Mega-CD version has better CD-sound, and according to what I can find, the "again" version has slight modifications from the original arcade (Mega-CD is arcade). But I'm wondering what those modifications are, and if there's any other notable differences?

I recently found the SNES game, so I'm wondering if I should still have the MegaCD version on my "someday" list or not.

Ninja Warriors Again is a completely different game; it's actually the sequel to the first. The Sega CD version of the original is pretty sweet, so I would recommend picking it up if you happen to see it.
