Nintendo Patents Online Console Gamming

The big N has patented Online Console gamming. Very weird indeed.

That is a strange patent. that is stuff MS and Sony already do; but Nintendo doesn't do. Sounds like their next console is going to be more inline with the X-Box. Thats good for them.

I read about this yesterday. Maybe it they'll use it like the ill-fated 64DD for the N64, but this time for the GameCube, or just use it for the Revolution. Who knows?

this is actually a modification to an old patent that nintendo own for the 64DD. If you have a look at the date of the patent then you'll notice that it is a few years old.

I got excited too until i studied it a bit more.

But if they are modifying it, they must have a reason. I hope they are intending on using parts of it for the "Revolution".
