Outrun 2 Special Tours

70 cars? OutRun is tied to Ferrari, and there are not 70 different Ferrari models. The MagicBox... another unreliable videogame news source.

The game is being developed, that is a fact, but the car list is the following -

- 250 GTO

- 365 GTS/4 Daytona

- DINO 246GTS

- 512BB

- 288 GTO

- Testarossa

- F40

- F50

- 360 Spider

- Enzo Ferrari

In other words, all the cars available on the Xbox version.

Oh, and I am sick of AM2 "tuning" their products many times.

Unless there's different versions of each cars...

Like a er...erm, pimped out F40 with hidrualics...

You could pimp out your hoe in the passenger seat then. 😛

Anyway, what's the point in updating it? Outrun 2 rocks as it is...

We are now accepting preorders for OutRun 2 SP - Special Tours, an updated version of the OutRun 2 driving game boasting new cars, new courses, new playing features and improved graphics. All of the additions are aimed at adding to the ease or challenge and most importantly, enjoyment of the playing experience. The new edition has ten cars available. In addition to the eight cars available in Outrun 2; F40, F50, Enzo, 360 Spider, Testarossa, 288 GTO, Dino 246 GTS and 365 GTS/4 Daytona, the new edition of this driving game boasts the 250 GTO and 512 BB. Also extra to the Special Tours edition is the option for players to change the colour of their car simply by tapping the gear lever. Some of the advanced playing features unique to OutRun 2 SP Special Tours include the slipstream technique, where a player can pull in behind another car and enter its slipstream to increase their own speed. In a slipstream, the 250 GTO can increase its speed by over 20 kilometres an hour. Another added feature in the new game is the increased ease of play, as players receive less damage and less speed reduction when they crash their car. Players can select the difficulty in this version, with the option of normal, flexible handling for a new player or tuned, fast handling for an advanced player. OutRun 2 SP Special Tours has 15 new courses, (a total of 30 available courses) with enhanced graphics and detailed flying objects in the backgrounds such as birds, hot-air balloons, twinkling stars and meteor showers.

While it does sound nice, why couldn't all of this been in the initial release?

I'd say it's because AM2 is in league with the Got Milk? folks. Then again, it sems like just about everybody in the industry is, these days. I blame the whole trend on stupid PC expansion packs.
