This probably shows how little I know about the tech side of a Saturn, but this is rattling around in my head so I'll put it out here for the masses...
I recently updated one of my DVD players by burning a CD, popping it into the player, and presto, it loaded new drivers into itself.
Theoreticaly, would it be possible to do something similar to a Saturn if the program was loaded on a disc with the security ring? Have it flash a new BIOS into the system to remove the disc check? Or would it need specific hardware in the Saturn to do it, some sort of hardware that's built into my DVD player?
Again, I'm just pondering a theory and wanted to put it up for those who would know if it could work or not...
