Powerbase converter - help

The last time i used my genesis powerbase converter was about a yr ago. I took it out today and im just getting a black screen when i try to play sms games. So far I cleaned the cartridge slot contacts and that didnt work. Would anyone happen to know of some common problems these things have... ? Thanks

there isn't anything that could go bad other than the pcb itself breaking.. there's no real hardware in those. make sure you use a genny 1 or 2, and clean the connectors on both the adapter and the carts.

heh, I forgot to clean one side of the adapter. As soon as i did that it started working again. Thanks
