Sega CDX rading problem

well, i have a friend of mine, buy a cdx, but it seems, that dont work properly.

when he load a game, the system takes a more than a normal time to load the disc.

finally when he play a game disc, always in a certain moment, seems to stop reading the game.

i dont know. but maybe is the laser lens.

so i asked to me, if maybe moving something like a potenciometer or knob to increment the laser power, on the laser lens sytem may help (if he has one) , just like on a sega saturn or sega cd

other wise, is there a compatible cd drive that works with the cd x so i can fix it?

First: clean the lens

second: i believe it does have a pentiometer (sp?) to strengthen the laser with... just turn it a small amount

third: does this happen on all your games? what is the condition of these games?

And I think the "rading" thing is the least of your worries... atleast you try even though your from mexico; unlike some people who live in english speaking countries.
