Soldering Technique failed

Idk how to explain but i guess i failed on soldiering cuz i followed all the directions and everything that was supposed to be counted on the instructions,but i still did'nt get it to work and as much as soldering i did i guess i fried the (a) point of the chip.When i did all of that the first time i was amazed how i got the saturn to work on my first try of soldering yesterday.Praying the god hoping it would boot up a disc sadly i had gotten the cd audio screen that would only boot up backups and originals.So i said to myself no prob i'll try it again.But thats when all hell broke loose.I guess a chip can only take so much soldering to the point that it looses its technique to do wht its supposed to do.

I got some questions plz answer with details if you can.

Reading this one thread about someone fixed his saturn with the modchip i was wondering cuz he said he used a solder bridge,does that mean he did'nt use the blue wire but instead pointed a+b together?

the AB bridge means that he connected these two points with solder.

What version Saturn do you have? Model 2 with the 32 pin IC or 64 pin IC? (the IC I refer to is the chip you solder the blue wire too)

i have the one with 64 pin ic.I thought the person meant solder the blue wires with a solder bridge,so that was my first mistake eh?but then again someone also said that they connected a&b with the wire on it.Its jus hella upsetting.

well it doesn't matter if you connect A+B with the blue wire or just a glob of wire... either way they are connected.

Your problem is you have a Saturn that can not be modded with that chip. the 64pin IC usually doesn't work with the style chip you have.

You can try soldering directly to the IC... if that doesn't work you'll either need the dual flat cable chip or you'll need a model 2 with the 32 pin IC.
