ST Key

Sorry to make my first post a question. I'm a long time lurker, first time poster.

My question is: I have recently received a Sega Saturn ST key cartridge. As far as I know, if defeats the region lock out allowing me to play Japanese games on my regular US Saturn. However, I'm having no luck in doing so. I put in the Import game, Langrisser 3, and it tells me that the disc is not compatible and just goes to the cd player interface.

Is there some trick in using the cartridge? Or should it just work by plugging it in and doing things as normal? Does anyone have any confirmed reports of this Cartridge playing Japanese games on US systems?

I just want to play Langrisser 3 🙁

Have you tried with another game? To me it sounds like your cart is dead or something

If I were you I´d stick to the good´old Action Replay :smokin:

Yea,I know,I´m an Action replay fanatic 😀 BUT from my experience of all the ones I have owned no one have ever failed me when playing an import

And except the ability to boot imports, you get a whole bunch of other cool fetures as well :thumbs-up:

Try to clean your cartridge port, i had the same problem when i used for the first time the ST Key with Bio Hazard.

Unless you can notice a new bootscreen which comes from the cartridge,

you can assume that the cartridge is not properly inserted.

Thanks for the tips guys 🙂

I have an update: I was convinced my cart wasn't dead, and I couldn't allow myself to accept the fact that I was going to need a new saturn, so I kept fiddling with it.

What eventually worked was my putting in the cart diagonally. The left side of the cart had to be in more then the right. Now, I can't say thats the only way it works because I am too scared to take it out (lol), but if anyone else has the same problem, try that out.
