Not sure if this has already been posted, but I thought I'd start this.

The last movie I saw (two weeks ago) was Hero starring Jet Li.

Absolutely breathtaking. Everything about it was awe-inspiring. Jet Li put on an unbelievable performance.

The best fight scene was by far the one involving Jet Li and Sky at the beginning.

I just watched Shaun of the dead last week before that rechid hurricane hit, and then again today. (i love xvid). i also watched that awful movie standing tall with the rock today... i want my money back. yeah i did get it for free from blockbuster but hey.

finalization:

Shaun of the Dead - wonderful

Standing Tall - awful

:agree

Except I have the Chinese DVD and every 5 minutes the damn distributor's logo keeps appearing on the screen.

Movies....I haven't seen any recently, but I heard Shaun if the Dead is good. For the most part, nothing but pure crap has been coming out. Team America, and he American version of The Grudge might be interesting but more likely shitty. I'm so sick of Hollywood movies, I think the best cinema at this time is the stuff from Japan, but to avoid getting on a rant, I'll just leave it at that.

studio canal comes out with some good shit.

thats shaun of the dead came out of... oooooh and that reminds me, that fucking whack job movie Irreversible. ohhh my god, DONT WATCH IT, its not bad or nothing... its just HOLY FUCK SHIT IN MY ASS I CANT HANDLE IT ANY LONGER, red tunnels suck.

Latest movie was Mulholland Dr. and I absolutely love it!

Yeah Hero was good but it´s no near close to Jet Li´s The Tai-Chi Master which is far more enjoyable as far as fight sequences.

Good stuff:

Capturing the Freidmans

How to Draw a Bunny

Coffee and Cigarettes

Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning

Jersey Girl

Fahrenheit 9/11

Garage Band

Love Object

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban

Okay stuff:

Mystic River

Twisted

Super Size Me

The Punisher

Man on Fire

Saved!

Garfield

Spiderman 2

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Not great stuff, but worth the $.99 rental:

Scooby Doo 2

Walking Tall

The Alamo

Ladykillers

Home on the Range

Laws of Attraction

Never Die Alone

Bad stuff:

New York Minute

Secret Window

Taking Lives (worst filmscore ever)

Along Came Polly

Starsky & Hutch

Envy

Duplex (notice a trend here, Ben Stiller really needs to stop doing comedy for a while...)

Interesting stuff that I wouldn't reccommend to anyone except for Cloud:

Lord of the G-Strings (fast forward through the sex scenes and it's a funny movie, figured if I was gonna keep making jokes about the movie and the people who rent it, I should at least try to watch it)

Lustfull Addiction (rental came with a soundtrack CD that I wanted to copy for some new samples when I DJ, is actualy an anti-drug PSA disguised as a softcore porn)

I saw Shaun of the Dead last year in Akitori, Cyprus. It's a class movie (pity about the RAF tornados flying over the cinema every friggen 15 minutes).

Got it on DVD recently. That kinda comedy mixed with music from Queen = priceless

i just rented Enternal sunshine of a spotless mind, and original sin. Eternal sun. was a good movie. Original sin...ehh..well it had angelina jolie and antonio banderas in it.and they are both hot, and thats the only good thing about the movie really.

Just saw Ghost In The Shell 2 : Innocence. Pretty sweet. Definitely had a more in-depth plot than the first one, closer to what the manga is like. Not a lot of action, but, eh, GiTS isn't really about action anyway.

As for Hero, I thought it was a really beautiful movie, but I am getting fed up with all this Qin-glorifying bullshit. Similarly, I saw a preview for another Crouching Tiger-style movie at the theater... eh, the style is pretty cool, but I'd rather watch a martial arts movie than a ballet. I can't see this trend continuing forever.

Speaking of martial arts movies, I also saw Ong Bak recently, and that movie rocks. I highly recommend it.

What have i seen? Nothing but the shit they're releasing.

Catwoman. Every cat pun out therem except "Nice pussy." I mean, if you're gonna be lame, at least make it sexual.

AvP. Expected nothing less than shite. At least that's one film that lived up to my hype 😉

Harold & Kumar. Meh. Dodgeball. Meh. And thus ensues a larger list of the forgettable, albeit free films I've seen in the last month.

That said, Donnie Darko is gold. Supergrom, yeah it's not much different, but it's worth seeing again. On par with American Beauty, Malkovich, and Eternal sunshine. Come on, what's not to like about sunshine? It's gold. Cinematography, score, characterisation, directing. Best film i've seen all year.

And then there's coffee and cigarettes. It has a special place in my heart, what with the two being a staple part of my diet. 😉

Haha... I love that movie. What's funny is that my brother once told a story about finding the tip of a human finger on a road somewhere... I made him watch that flick immediately afterwards.
