What's there left to play?

Hey guys,

I've had my Saturn a LONG time now. I've played the Virtua Fighters, the Treasure games, the RPGs, the puzzle games, and pretty much most of the well known US games (ok the ones that don't suck). Can you guys recommend anything somewhat rare to play? I'll play almost any type of genre, beggar's can't be choosers.

In other news I'm also almost done collecting all the multitap games ((well the non-sports ones anyway). Just got "Hansha De Spark", and "Trash It!" left to find. Unfortunately most of these games suck a lot. Vatlva was ok at best, and Keriotosse was just too damn repetitive.

I can give you advice only on games I played 🙂 :

- Baroque for his unique atmosphere but it's pretty hard.

- Ninpen Manmaru : nice 3D platform game

- Choro Q park : fun racing game

- Zap Snowboarding Trix 98 : good Snowboard game

- Fanta Step : great 3D aventure game (currently plaiying)

- Drift King 97 : high speed game

How much Japanese\English are in these games? Specifically Ninpen Manmaru and Fanta Step?

You haven't mentioned the Capcom vs. fighting games -- if you haven't, have a go at them. 'specially like games like Xmen vs Street Fighter, the saturn ports are a lot better than its PS counterparts

For Ninpen Manmaru it is useless, it's a 3D platform game like Sonic Adventures, there are only cartoon movies between levels with dialogs in japanese.

About Fanta Step there is more japanese because you have some but few speaking with people. Also I saw for now nothing blocking because of the japanese. All menus are pictures and easy to understand (hand, foot, ...). I gave already some details there.

EDIT : added Ninpen Manmaru pic :

Ninpen Manmaru has been hacked and translated into English by AlexKidd (with 2 "d"). He left the scene a while ago. Go on the FTPs and look for a game called "Ninpen Manmaru Beta".

A rare game that's GREAT to watch and play (IMHO) : Psychik Killer Taromaru

Try also "The Yakyuuken Special" if you didn't, of course 🙂 you'll die laughing.

Did you really have fun with Vatlva ? I bought it on ebay and tried to play it with vreuzon and other friends, we don't understand anything on what's happening on the screen.

Vatlva was fun in one player mode. In multiplayer it wasn't that great.

Ninja Jajumaru (I think that's what it's called). One of my Japanese friends had that game. I thought it was pretty fun (~5 years ago).
