.Why do the game crashes?

I have tried to play the US NTSC version of PTO 2 on my European Saturn with a Saturn Sattelite. I works through the intro and at the title screen, but when i push start the screen goes blank and nothing happens. Anyone who knows why? Its not the cd since it is totally clean and there isnt any scratches.
