Willing to trade: 20/21 pin Saturn chip

VertigoXX

Mid Boss
I've got one of those SUPER RARE 20/21 pin mod chips. Problem is, the connectors are on the 21 pin side, and I'm not handy enough with a soldering gun to move them over to the 20 pin side. I'm willing to part with this precious item in exchange for an American NTSC modded model 2 system.

Now, I know, if you already have a modded model 2, why would you want this chip? Well, I figure there's gotta be some people who are into development that would like to get their hands on it. Or maybe someone who might be able to get the chip replicated and make some money selling them (just please put the connectors on both sides, for the love of Ulala). Anyway, if you want this chip and have a modded model 2 system you're willing to part with, send me an IM. I don't need controllers, connectors, power cords, any of that. Just a working console with a mod chip already in it.

EDIT: Or I'd also be willing to trade it for a modded Japanese console with a region switch, but I figured that'd be too much to ask for.

Price wise, how much you wanting for the chip? Because maybe we could work something out, I got a Model 1 that maybe could install the chip into for a price. Up to you.

I don't want to sell the chip. I already have a model 1 system that I'd like to put the chip in. However, I'm not good enough with a soldering iron to move the connectors from the 21 pin side to the 20 pin side. All I want is a Sega Saturn that I can play my backup of Panzer Dragoon Saga on (among other CDR games) without swapping.

Well, I have a spare 32 pin Model 2 US Saturn that I could mod for you, but you'd have to pay at least a little of the postage.

Let me know if you're interested.

Yes and no. I put the banner together, but all the images are from other artists. You can find the full size images in the Art Gallery at The Poet's Haven.

I do have a few of my own images up, too, but none that I wanted to put in the banner. My best work is too big for my blasted scanner, lol.

I just picked up a model 2 at The Exchange. I'm gonna try putting it in there instead. I shouldn't have to worry about 32 or 64 pin IC's or whatever, the way this chip is made. 🙂
