Windows CD Bootable

For testing, I would like to have a CD for each of the several Windows versions (WinJap, WinChin, WinUS, WinFr..)

I mean a CD you put into your CD-ROM drive and your PC boots in the system 'installed" on the CD.. (like anyne boot Windows on HD C: for example)

Does anyone know if it's possible ? If yes, how ?

Thanks!

I doubt it would be possible. I'm sure Windows needs to write to the device it boots from as part of the bootup process. If it can't, it'll just crash. It simply wasn't designed to work from a read only device.

You'll have more luck using USB memory sticks, but they'll die pretty quickly if you try this - the write limit (about 1 million writes) will be exceeded quickly.
