Favorite 16-bit Generation Console?

128 sprites, and how you refresh they position at each frame?

Never mind that, how do you do collision detection? :eek:wned

Anyone who thinks I'm merely being a smartass is invited to play the SNES port of Gradius III and fire up four Options and Ripple Laser.

There is certainely a hardware system like in the genesis to know when collision between non0 pixel of sprites happenned (and maybe something better than the genesis with the name of the sprites in collision).

Even if it can tell you what sprites collided, when you have 4 Options, Missile, and Ripple Laser, there are probably hundreds of collisions every time you hit the fire button. I'm thinking that the arcade version probably used dual 68000s for a reason. ;)
