--DUCK.exe -
·Overview
DUCK is a tool for playing True Motion movies on Windows 95.
You don't need a video codec to play it because you have your own decoder.
・ Required environment
-Microsoft Windows 95.
-High color (65536 colors) or higher screen mode.
-16bit sound board (Sound Blaster, 86 board, etc.).
-Pentium 166MHz or higher possible CPU and video card (audio on slow machines)
The image may not be synchronized or the image may be skipped).
-Install and uninstall
Please copy it to a suitable directory and use it.
When you no longer need it, throw it directly into the Recycle Bin.
·Method of operation
When you open a TrueMotion compressed video file (extension is AVI) with [File]-> [Open]
It will play automatically. Details of the operation menu will be described later.
· Known bugs and limitations
-I have not confirmed the operation properly on Windows NT.
-VideoSprite mode is not supported.
-TrueMotion created with the RGB16V algorithm cannot be played correctly.
·Note
-Development of this software is finished. Please refrain from requesting support.
-Please use in a 16-bit color environment as much as possible. If it is 24bit color or more, it will be on the video card
Therefore, the performance may be significantly reduced.
-DUCK.exe is for games, mainly the drivers used in DUCKPLAY of US duck.
I created it by analyzing the software decoder, but the image that can not be expanded inside
And in the worst case, the application itself may die.
I can think of it.
