$100 US?

Hmmm... Sounds very interesting ;)

But then again, Perfect NES emu doesn't exist even for latest generation PCs.

But a "good enough" is more realistic.

I guess, here is a commod sence criteria for a "good enough" emu:

- it have to provide realtime (i.e. 100%) speed of NES

- going below and above 100% per user decision is a nice bonus

- should support all major titles (mappers). Support for weird pirate HK cats is not really necessary

- sound should be of a fairly good quality, and realtime, no lags or condensations

- should support in-game saves (SRAM) to Saturn's internal save memory as well as save card

- should support quick save / restore (for people with lame coordination, who can't play games like Megaman or Contra for more then 3 seconds)

Yeah, this is pretty much it... That's what I would keep in mind if decide to write NES emu... Too bad I'm not into NES period :)

MSX rules, SMS rules, NES I guess is ok, but 6502 never made me feel hot ;)

Well trying to stay on topic, it could be done if we ALL stick together and work on it... but i dont think you're going to send each of us ~$100 ...
