Lists have been updated according to posts.

I've cut a few myself and added a few.

I'm trying to limit the # of sequals, so I'm only having ones that are different of good enough to be worthy of listing.

Also, anybody want to take the honors of cutting the Genesis list down a bit?

OK, here's my attempt at adjusting the Genny section for you racketboy...i'm gonna aim for 10-15 games...so everyone else can help tell me if I missed anything...remember this is the 10-15 BEST games for the system...not just the good ones....I'm trying to tap into a variety of genre's...In no particular order...

1) Shining Force II

2) Phantasy Star 4 (Maybe we should just put the whole series on?)

3) Sonic the Hedgehog 2...3...? Pick one...

4) Gunstar Heroes

5) NHL 94 (For the sports fans)

6) Herzog Zwei (A lot of people loved this game)

7) Strider

8) The Lion King and/or Aladdin

9) Thunder Force 3

10) Streets of Rage 3

11) Ecco the Dolphin

12) Shadowrun (we forgot about this game...but I think it has a spot here)

13) Toejam & Earl

14) Revenge of Shinobi

15) Golden Axe III

Honourable Mention

World Series Baseball (great graphics for its day)

Ghouls and Ghosts

Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition

Vectorman

Woah that was hard....Remember guys this is just a list...just cuz your PERSONAL favourites are not there does not mean its incomplete...think on a grand scale for the whole system...not just games you yourself thought was awesome...I think its as good as it'll get...but I welcome suggestions...when you think its right Racketboy start a poll....

Hmmmm... that seems like a good Genny list. Exept strider, i hated that game. But thats my opinion. And Sonic 2 instead of 3. 3 was good, but 2 was the best hands down. Oh and for the disney game, definently aladdin. I rented that game multiple times when i was young.

I wouldn't cut the list down that far.

50 maybe. 15 doesn't leave much considering how many Genesis games their were

start by coming up with ten off the existing list that SHOULDN'T be on the list

I dunno, I think thats a pretty good list...the genesis was a lot like the playstation in that there were A LOT of titles and you had to sift thru a lot of crap to get to the good stuff...

Thats pretty much the cream of the crop unless I forgot something...guys...the best games will be reflected in voting...wouldn't it be cool to see what people's favourtie games on a sega system EVER was?

We should make a poll with the winner or top 3 of each systems individual poll...cool idea?

of course, once the ranking is complete, then we can also break it down by System

BTW, I'm not familiar with a few of the games you listed, so putting the system by the title might help

2D and 3D fighting should be separated and made longer -- they are very different and there are a lot of good fighters on Sega systems
