Compiling the right way?

Hello! I am new to the forums, and I am just wondering how a Saturn homebrew project is compiled to a COFF/ELF the right way. I attempted a few times to make and compile Saturn test demos, but they are not working for unknown reasons. In either way, I would like some help on this solution.

what did you try to compile ? did you follow the rockin'-b tutorial ? also there is the Red Ring Rico's sdk (http://segaxtreme.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=23781)
