I'm about to upload a web page with info about my genesis expansion port cart. But I had a problem two days ago.
I'm trying to map some ports to it, to control an external device.
But when I was doing debuging, my Genesis died.
It was working. It was actually working when I was debugging. I turned it on and off like 20 times quite fast. It died. Without changing software neither hardware.
now the console makes a continuous sound when powered up, with black screen, even if you insert a game cart. Died. Seems.
Do you know what could be the cause??
I need to isolate it... and also, if I could repair it, that woild be great.
there's 5V at the output of regulators, so no main fuse seems burned. There're 5V on the RAM chips too.
M68000 gets too hot when powered up for only 10 seconds...
any idea??
I plan to replace the LM 358 chip, but I don't know if it would he the cause...
