cart systems are generally gonna live much longer. a cd system has alot of sensitive and moving parts that can break, on newer systems the technology is much closer, alot more traces, more pins, etc.. many more chances to fudge

Only ever had the one prob with my DC, was with the power unit musta been loose (or something), and it kept on resetting on me (sux0rs for me when playing MSR with no VMU )

following some advice (i think it was u, arak) i jammed some toothpicks in there (c/o mums dining set ) and all is good!

btw saturn is rock solid, only flimsy bit o' hardware I have is the megacd 2 + md2 (still work great, reliable etc., just too... i dunno, 'flimsy')
