EDTV, doubled interlace (Newbie questions)

I would like to know more about EDTV Mode (super HiRes) and double interlace.

How to use EDTV? Which games support EDTV? What is double interlace?

I'm not sure that the actual hardware in the released Saturn systems can use EDTV mode. I'm not aware of any games that use it.
