Gran Turismo 4

Hey Guys,

I have GT3 sitting in my PS2 collection right now. I'm not a hardcore racing guy, but I do like the GT series, GT2 the first one I played. Is it worth shelling out 50 clams for GT4 if you're not "done" with GT3 yet? By done I mean I haven't gotten all the licenses, gotten my taste of all the kewl cars, etc. I used to be doing well with GT3, but I lost my original data, and am starting over. It's kind of a pain for me since I don't play the game regularly. GT4 so much better than GT3 that I should shelve GT3 and move on? Thanks!

To answer your question, I'd shelve it and move on to GT4.

But if you want my opinion, I think Gran Turismo is a pretty played out series, you should also consider trying something new. Forza Motorsport is supposed to be really good. I'm not a racing game fan by any means, but I really like Burnout 3: Takedown for some reason. It's very unrealistic but it's the kind of game people that aren't fans of the genre will like too, because its a good racing game, but it's also just a good game period. Oh, but the soundtrack is terrible--44 tracks of pure shit.

Thanks for the opinion. I like the GT series but I've never been dedicated enough to it to get the most out of it. As for Forza and others like it, I'm concerned with getting a driving title for the PS2, considering that I will be up and about from now on so I can only carry around my PSTwo and Cube for moves (my Xbox is too friggin huge). I guess somewhere down the line I'll buy myself a copy of GT4, probably used. But that might be hard to find....

I picked up fortza today only played it for about a half hour and the demo before it, but the game is very similar to the GT series, and its ONLINE.. I have gt4 and it is good, and fun, and , imo better than GT3. But so far Fortza is perfect, need to play more to develope a better/ more acurate opinion, but its worth it.
