Help me ID these disc please.

Okay I know what the system boot discs are but what are these demo discs. One says technology demo Amok and the other is a alpha for Virtual Fighter. I would have thought that these type of things would be burnt disc not pressed disc, have always kinda wondered what they were. Am I confused and were these just some common disc that were given out from some publication or something like that. Got these from a developer buddy of mine like 10 years ago. Thank for any and all help
