Did the producers of the transformers have like craploads of money to spend on voice acting because there were about 30 different people doing voices for that show at one time weren't there?

Sorry if this seems out of place but it's just one of those things that doesn't stop bugging you until it's dead.

I know some people did a few voices but there were a CRAPLOAD of people in the credits.

Are you talking about the original cartoon? Because it was a pretty popular show. Regular cartoon voice actors don't command mega bucks, either. Although the movie did have some pretty big budget names IIRC (Orson Welles, for one).

The movie had some major stars doing the voices. They definitley put up some cash for voice talent there. The show used a lot of the same voice talent as the GI Joe cartoon series, and several characters had the same voice actors behind them.

Here we have Orson Wells (in his final performance), Leonard Nimoy, Casey Kasem, Eric Idle (of Monty Python fame), Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, and Scatman Crothers.

Robert Stack of the hit TV Series The Untouchables. :)
