mame runs about 1000+ more than that.. Those included as well..

I usually use mame for kaillera online play.. Although I use kawaks offline because of it's cool blitters.. If you want a challenge in sfa3, look for me on the kaillera west coast servers..

kawaks has a trouble in the emulation speed. It is a bit faster/slower than the original arcade (no matter you use frameskip/frame blend), it is like playing in "turbo" mode no matter wich dip switch ot setting you put.

Nebula is more accurate emulating the actual speed of the arcades.

Nebula is also a great emulator, but its near impossible to find opponents with it, on kaillera

#2=kawaks

You left out KoF 2001, 2002, Rage of the Dragons, Metal Slug 4, Giga Wing, and Cyberbots.

Or were you talking about games it "officially" supports?

what name? ( and im aware mame runs more, but about 800 of them are mojohng games so there.)

Keep dreaming. MAME runs pretty near every arcade cabinet pre-1998. Sure there's quite a few exceptions but by no means are they all Mahjongg games.

http://www.mame.dk is a good searchable index of games it runs.

Mame can play those games as well, but most of the newer arcade games are disabled.. If you have some compiler skills, you can compile your own version of mame that runs those games.. Or get those japanese foreign versions of mame which do run those games..

I've gotten KOF2001 and MS4 running on mame just fine..

No compiler needed..

Yeah but renaming roms to another set is just annoying (the easiest way to do it without a special mame version).

Either way, Kawaks runs it way cleaner and on less RAM.

I did it without re-naming roms too.. And no special mame version either.. Yeah, kawaks runs it nicely, but so does mame.. Mame does run slow on low end comps though..

Hey

So fivefeet8, how have u done it??

(and btw where have u got those roms?)

it's nice to see that there is many people who loves the arcade emu scene....

Yeah but renaming roms to another set is just annoying (the easiest way to do it without a special mame version).

Either way, Kawaks runs it way cleaner and on less RAM.

Nebula v2.18 is better than Kawaks to do that. No need to patches, better arcade speed & almost same effects.

Hey

So fivefeet8, how have u done it??

(and btw where have u got those roms?)

it's nice to see that there is many people who loves the arcade emu scene....

Now I remember why this topics become into forbidden ones... ???

Sorry if I offend someone; but I hate when topics turn into "scene" & isoz/romz begging ones.

Odd, I don't need patches and I get perfect arcade speed.

Wonder what's wrong with your Kawaks?

I get speed differences between kawaks and the original arcades (yes, I checked that out between arcades and some computers of some friends and mine; tried all sort of options but never worked).

...

And I need a crack for those "latest" games.

...

What? Am I using the wrong kawaks or that's not the emulator for me?
