Kingdom of Loathing

how do I unlock other areas? I'm almost level 4 (missing 2 moxie points.. ugh) and the only unlocked place so far is the hidden temple.. which is a tad too random to properly build up my stats for moxie.

Visit the council in the town, they will give you quests and unlock new areas ...

Whats a good way to gain Mysticality points?

Gourd Potion. Fight in the Haunted Pantry for can lids, and trade them to the Gourd Captain. Maybe the effect is not consistent, but when I drank one it gave me something like 30 Magicalness and bumped up my Mysticality by one point.

Unfortunately, that only works for saucerors and pastamancers ...

The gourd will give you around 35 points in your primary stat, which is mysticality only for the two above class ...

IIRC Hot Wings are pretty good for mysticality, if you can still fit some food in.

Not as good as a Gourd potion though...

About the next clan furniture to buy, I think that a moxie stuff might be interesting. (I'm a little low in it 😛 )

It's the Tan-U-Lot tanning bed 😉

That seems like a good idea.

Except for me*, Arakon and Ice, Moxie is everyone's lowest stat.

*moxie is my highest stat at 56 (83 with accessories) :hehehe:

Whats ok for me to take from the goodies horde. I don't want to take a bunch of stuff, but maybe one or two things that can help me. What items can i take?

I don't think there's any hard-and-fast rule. Pending a statement by mal or runik, I'd recommend the following guidelines

- Don't take out more than you put in

- Don't take the last of an item without asking

- Don't use food/drinks just because you can

- If in doubt, ask first about the particular item you need.

Im not quite sure what i need. I don't know what any of the items in the stash are except for a few. I am just having trouble leveling up. It takes more than 40 turns for me just to get 1 or 2 mysticality points.

I'd suggest two things.

Eat some Hot Wings, Mushroom Pizza or a spicy enchanted bean burrito if there are any. Feel free to take food, just remember that we've got ten players to share it around now. Dropping off any raw ingredients is helpful too.

IIRC Whitey's Grove and the Spooky Woods are good for points, but that may be beyond you yet. Where are you adventuring ATM?

I'll add that the Hidden Temple in the woods is a nice place to level up easily (no fights)

Did you unlock it ?

@mal : I do have plenty of plain pizzas, but I miss garniture (knob mushrooms, sausages ...)

Some skewers would be handy too.

Here is the food I cooked that's left in the stash :

- bat haggis (3)

- bat wing kabob (3)

- bean burrito (2) (can be improved with some spices)

- boring spaghetti (6)

- bowl of cottage cheese (16) (not to be cooked)

- chorizo taco (1)

- ghuol egg quiche (3)

- ghuol-ear kabob (1)

- goat cheese pizza (1)

- lihc eye pie (3)

- piece of wedding cake (3) (not to be cooked)

- rat-appendix kabob (6)

- sausage pizza (16)

- shroomkabob (7)

- spicy bean burrito (2)

- spicy noodles (1)

- stalk of asparagus (11) (not to be cooked)

- white chocolate chip cookie (1)

I think there's enough food to wait for the garniture 😉

To unlock it you need the Spooky Sapling, Spooky-Gro Fertilizer and the Spooky Temple map.

BTW somebody really should take that Clockwork Maid...

There's a knoll mushroom in the stash. 😉

BTW how many plain pizzas do you have stashed? I guess I'll stop buying tomatoes and dough for a while...

must go to bed...

Knoll mushrooms are only usable with skewers, knob mushrooms are usable with pizzas 😉

I have 13 plain pizzas in my inventory right now awaiting for some garniture 😛

EDIT: 20 plain pizzas now 😛
