KoolFiller patches

Hi. First and foremost, a big thank you (to KoolFiller and everyone making translation patches) for your work.

KoolFiller has been creating a lot of very interesting patches lately. Translations and other interesting things for Saturn games such as Battle Garegga, Emit, Hyper Duel, Blast Wind, Mizubaku Daibouken, Bust-A-Move 2, Bust-A-Move 3, Bubble Symphony or Nekketsu Oyako. Again, a big thank you!!!

But my problem is I cannot make any of them work. Patch procedure is quite simple in all cases: just copying a redump image on the correct directory and executing the provided script. I don't get any errors, and the new image gets created. But any of the created images works for me. I use real hardware (Japanese Model 2 Saturn with Terraonion's MODE) and Yabause for testing. Both have the same result: only the audio tracks are recognized. I have tried several different images for each patch. I have also tried to create my own REDUMP images. Always the same result. I use Windows 11 (configured in Spanish).

So, my question is: what I am doing wrong? Maybe KoolFiller (or some other mate) could assist me. Have anyone been able to patch those games properly? Have you tested them in real hardware? Is it an emulator or MODE issue? I have not found any other MODE issues, by the way.

Adding some more information: someone has confirmed to be able to successfully patch Bubble Symphony. I tried exactly the same steps with the very same image and it is not working for me. It should be something related with my environment.

Wish I could help you out, but I'm really not sure what the problem is. You're the first person to report this issue with any of my patches. I asked around a couple of places. Maybe we can figure something out. Do the unpatched images work? What other patches have you used that do work for you?

I will search a different setup to do some tests. It is quite rare... your patches use Saturn image patcher, and I have been using it for years without issues.

I will search a different setup to do some tests. It is quite rare... your patches use Saturn image patcher, and I have been using it for years without issues.

Actually, most of my patches (all recent ones) are xdelta patches packaged with Derek's patching kit and script. You can try taking the file from the "xdeltas" folder and manually patching track 01 (or each corresponding track) with the xdelta patcher of your choice, instead of double clicking on the bat file. Might be worth a shot.
