Lunar : Silver Star Story Cuesheet

Does anyone happen to have the cuesheet/data layout for Lunar: Silver Star Story? I have a raw binary of the CD, and imagine it has a couple music tracks. If you could post the rest of the CUE, it would be much appreciated

It isn't that hard to make a cue-sheet yourself you know =)

And you can't really know what data format the rip uses unless you analyse it somehow... but most should work in mode1/2048, I think.
 
Yep, I'm quite aware it is easy to create the cue myself... but, if I'm unaware of where the cuepoints are, is it not going to make a useless coaster? Even binchunker requires the cue, NOT just the bin to seperate the data from the CD tracks.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that one would need to know where the cuepoints are to properly burn a .bin.

So with that said, I'm still after a .cue so I know where the cuepoints are... not because I'm unaware of how to make my own cuesheets.

i thought u known that there is a program called sega cue maker where it makes the cue sheet from scratch for you. i have it, and if u need it, im sure there are ftp's that have it, and if not, i can up it.

edit: bin file???
 
OK, maybe I'm not making myself clear.

There are ISO+MP3, which I often find myself using the Sega Cue Maker to make cue's for often.

And there are BIN+CUE. The .BIN is the binary,raw image of the entire CD. The CUE tells where on this raw image each track begins and stops. Without the CUE, the .BIN is just one track of raw data, as far as the burner can tell. I have a BIN, but no CUE.

Sega Cue Maker can make a cue for ISO+MP3 because it reads the ISO and all of the mp3s and knows where on the CD each track is going to go... now if I have a BIN, without a CUE, I have no idea where in the BIN the seperate tracks are. For example, it may have 2 tracks (the game and 1 audio), and it may have 20 (1 game, 19 audio). The only way to tell is from the cuesheet that is generated when the BIN was generated.

So, I have a BIN, not MP3+ISO. I can't just burn the .BIN as is without the Correct cue sheet telling where one this binary image (.BIN) the game stops and the audio tracks begin/end. If it was just the game and no audio, that would work fine. But its not, I tried

Someone upped it to me sometime ago without the cue in case you are curious why I'm wanting it and don't have the cue to start with.

sry i misunderstood, but i do know a trick. it worked once, and ive only used it once, and i posted this a while back...

take the bin file and rename it to .iso run sega cue maker and have it make the cue sheet for the iso, rename the .iso back to its original .bin open the new cue sheet and modify the img file to read .bin(as it should be written as .iso by default). save it and burn it.

i did this with shienryu a while back and it works perfect. i cant insure it will work for you, but its worth a shot, and its the only way i know how to get around a bin with no cue. thus one reason why iso+mp3 is sometimes better.
 
I have feeling of deja vu...

The only way to accurately burn a working copy of a .bin is with a cuesheet made when an image is ripped. I'm sure I said that to you last time klakalou.

Download ISOBuster. It can open a .BIN file without a .CUE and, most of the times, it'll show all tracks it contains.

You then can extract the individual tracks and try a burn.
 
Frankly, I'd be surprised if it could.

Without the cuesheet, what would it look for to seperate the tracks?
 
yes im aware of this akumamatata and mal, but i thought i would at least post it for the hell of it. it may be useful to someone in the future.

You're terribly mistaken. ISObuster will open .bin files, alright, but only see them as ONE track.

My gawd, people, help the poor guy already, and get it through your heads that a .BIN without a .CUE is worthless, as many have said in here already.

Heck, if I don't forget I'll just find the .cue sheet myself on Direct Connect. Sometimes users do share .cue files separately, I might get lucky. Remind me if I forget

This cuesheet should work perfectly, as long as your .bin is a raw-mode image (i.e. Track 1 really is Mode1/2352 and not Mode1/2048). That's pretty likely to be the case, though.

Whoo! Thanks Taelon, finally got exactly what I was after since the first post :>. Thanks everyone else for giving me some advice, lots of good tips for other problems. And to recap this for others who view this thread:

If you have a .bin, without a .cue... there is no accurate way to figure out what the track layout is. You'll need the .cue that was made along with the .bin when the CD was ripped.
