Master of Monsters sequel?

I was in an EB games awhile back talking to the Manager about finding me a genesis Master of Monsters. We talked how the PS1 version was utter crap and that the Genesis version was just awsome and a classic.

He mentioned he was almost positive that a sequel was made but was under a different title. Anyone know if this is true? IF so know the name and what system it's on?

Also any other games off the top of your heads that is VERY SIMILIAR to Master of Monsters for the Genesis? I have a mint Brigandine so no need mentioning that one.

I've never played master of monsters, but I have heard it being compared to Dark Wizard, for the sega/mega cd several times..
