Ban Hammered
anyway, we all kno that installing a modchip is a pain in the neck. i made this topic for everyone that has a hard time installing one, so the masters at this on the board can reveal some tricks and techniques they use. also, can jumper wires ( i duno what there called, but the look like jumper cables, only alot smaller) work with the modchip? CONNecting one to the5v power supply would be so easy, and there would be no need for soldering, and does the modchip work without the blue wire at all? last ques, do only the original red and blue wires work with the modchip to connect it to the 5v, if not, what kind of wires should somebody use. thanxx

If you've done some research it isn't. Did you read this thread? It's a sticky thread at the top of this forum.

Probably everything you need to know is in that thread. If not, it's a great place to ask.

The soldering required for modding a Saturn is very basic. Chances are that if you can't manage it, then someone you know can.

CONNecting one to the5v power supply would be so easy, and there would be no need for soldering...

See above.

and does the modchip work without the blue wire at all?

No, it needs the 5v to run.

last ques, do only the original red and blue wires work with the modchip to connect it to the 5v, if not, what kind of wires should somebody use. thanxx

Any copper wire that is easy enough to work with will do.
