Is the card battery back or flash? I would just like to know before I buy one so I can play and save the arcade games, #### crossed swords!!

Ah you know i dont know exactly why your asking this question .

I believe the neo-geo one was battery but theres several ones you can use , im sure flash will work as well .

This taken from overclocked and neo geo for life

Any 68-pin memory that fits the JEIDA ver.3 spec will work

Incidentally, the JEIDA spec they're referring to is an adaptation of one of the PCMCIA memory card revisions (don't remember which one). I also remember hearing that Neo is designed to take a Type 2 card. Presumably a Type 1 might work also (Type 1/2/3 only refers to the thickness of the card, not any kind of protocol difference).

yeah, most type 2 cards SHOULD work.

size doesn't matter either, in fact, the original card (which is battery based) is only 2 kb in size (and can hold up to 27 saves!).
